Branch Pick up Regulations

•         Branch pickup begins April 1^st through November 7^th

•         Branches are picked up on the first Monday of each month

•         Branches must be out at curb no more than 1 week prior to pickup

•         Individual branches must be NO MORE than 6" inches in diameter and a maximum of 8 foot in length.

•         Branches must be neatly stacked with the cut ends towards the street. Unorganized piles will NOT BE picked up.

Duty to Remove Debris and Stumps

   If the property owner hires a private contractor to remove tree(s) from the owner's property, it shall be the responsibility of the private contractor to remove ALL branches and debris generated by their service.

   Materials such as construction wood, fencing, door, and branches with nails or spikes will not be taken and must be disposed of by the resident through other means.

 

 

 

Bulk items are those that are too large to fit in typical carts or containers, such as a mattress or sofa. Bulk items can be taken using excess garbage stickers.  The cost of each sticker is $1.50. You can purchase garbage stickers at City Hall and Walgreens on Wolf Rd.

All mattresses must be wrapped in plastic and have an excess garbage sticker attached, or they will not be collected.

Was your waste, recycling, or yard waste not collected on your service day? If so, please call 1-844-633-3577 and schedule a recovery pickup, or email Service@LRSrecycles.com with your name, full service address, and the service that was not collected.

Recycling materials should be loose and not bagged. If you must use a bag, it needs to be transparent. Black bags will be considered contaminated.

Containers that have previously stored liquid or food should be emptied. Food and liquid containers do not have to be rinsed unless it was previously filled with a heavy substance. Examples of heavy substance products include tomato paste, peanut butter and vegetable oil.

Keep lids and caps on plastic bottles and glass jars when recycling.

To limit the amount of space used, break down any cardboard boxes into pieces.

The following items are NOT recyclable, although they are made from paper, plastic and cardboard:
⦁    Pizza boxes
⦁    Styrofoam
⦁    Paper plates
⦁    Plastic cups (i.e. Solo cups)
⦁    Paper towels
⦁    Plastic grocery bags

LRS Recycling 101
 

Yard waste pick up starts with the 1^st garbage pickup in April.  Yard waste has to be in paper bags or containers with “Yard Waste” stickers on them.  Yard waste containers must not exceed 35 gallons and 60 pounds in weight. You can get the “Yard Waste” sticker at Public Works or City Hall.  Plastic bags with yard waste will not be picked up.
