Our Mission is to deliver quality services to enhance the living and working environment of the City of Northlake.

The Department of Public Works employs 13 workers and maintains approximately 47 miles of City streets, parking lots, storm sewers, water mains, parkways, and a fleet of City vehicles.

The City of Northlake is committed to maintaining a safe and reliable water system for all residents. In compliance with the Lead Service Line Replacement Act, the City is actively identifying and removing lead water service lines to protect the quality of our community’s drinking water. This long-term effort underscores our dedication to public health and to the continued improvement of Northlake’s water infrastructure. To support this initiative, the City has created a Lead Safe Community webpage where residents can access important information about lead service lines.

The Public Works Facility, located at 100 W. Palmer, houses all administrative, street, parkway maintenance and vehicle repair services.
